Gather round, grab a chair

This is something that you need to hear

Baltimore is the place I call home

Where I live, where I thrive

Where every day I pray to survive

I’m from charm city, the city the reads

Better yet the city that breeds

I’m sure what has changed

But I’m not pleased

I’m from where it’s over 2,000 murders

Over 300 rapes

Way more than 1,000 sex offenders

That’s twice the average crime rate

I grew up where

Drugs ruling our streets this crap has to end

We got to make our city great once again
