All academic buildings (except Main Building and Bunting Center) will offer access twenty-four hours a day from Monday, April 17 through Thursday, May 4.
Buildings will close at 10:00 pm on Friday, May 5.
During 24-hour access time it is imperative that spaces in
the Fiber Department are clean and ready for the next class
day. There will be cleaning cart stations set up in the
classrooms as a reminder to sweep, clean as you finish
working.
Shuttle Service:
In conjunction with the extended building hours, the MICA Evening Safety
Shuttles will run from 5:00 pm-7:00 am, beginning Monday night, April 17,
and continuing through Friday morning, May 5 at 7:00 am. Circulators will
continue to have regular daytime hours and routes. Beginning the evening of
May 5 through Commencement, shuttles will run from 5:00pm until midnight,
except for Wednesday, May 10, when they will run until 3:00 am to
accommodate extended hours for ArtWalk setup.
Classrooms: During the week of Monday, May 1 through Friday, May 5:
Each student must remove ALL artwork from classrooms at the end of
each critique.
Any artwork or supplies left in classrooms, painting
racks, in or on top of lockers, or other cabinets, will be discarded after
4:00 pm on Friday, May 5. This includes clean out of department lockers, dye room materials,
cleaning silkscreens.
Academic departments do not have the authority to grant extensions
or to give permission for work/supplies to be left over the summer.
Students are responsible for the removal of artwork and supplies.
The Fiber Department will close to all non-graduating students at 4pm
on May 5th . After 4pm facilities, classroom and tool Crib will close.
All Fiber Tool Crib and department equipment must be returned before
4pm Friday May 5th .
Any tool not returned will be billed for the cost of the tool. This bill will
be sent to your Student Account. Reminders will be sent via email and
classroom notices.
