The purpose of the Professional Development Opportunity Grant Program is to encourage and support relevant professional development opportunities for artists and arts organizations throughout Maryland. The Professional Development Opportunity Grant will assist artists and arts organizations to implement best practices through growth, learning, and discovery for economic sustainability.

In response to COVID-19, the Maryland State Arts Council convened on March 25, 2020 and approved the following changes for FY20 Professional Development Opportunity Grants:

Funding use restrictions have been alleviated and may be used for any arts-related expense until further notice.
Use of FY20 funds may be extended until November 30, 2020 by submitting a request to Dana.Parsons@maryland.gov.

This website is managed collaboratively and welcomes contributions from anyone, especially current students, faculty, and alumni. Content of any kind may be submitted at the link below, and will be reviewed by a site administrator before being posted.
