Ragdale Fellowships

Deadline May 15, 2021

Website | Application

Ragdale is a nonprofit artists’ community located on the former country estate of architect Howard Van Doren Shaw. Nearly 200 residencies and fellowships are now offered annually to creative professionals of all types, making Ragdale one of the largest interdisciplinary artists’ communities in the country. Ragdale residents represent a cross-section of ages, cultures, experiences, and mediums, for a diverse and vibrant community.

Ragdale is proud to award up to 30 fellowships to outstanding artists each year. Fellowships help pay for the cost of residency, public programs, travel, and materials. Our fellowships recognize exceptional achievement as well as advance cultural exchange, emerging talent, social justice, and artists with special needs. The majority of our fellowships are underwritten by individuals on an annual basis. Fellowships support important new works, and they bring artists to our community who might not otherwise be able to join us.
