Córtex Frontal welcomes professional artists, writers, researchers, and workgroups in search of time and space to reflect, discuss and create. Our goal is to promote and develop cultural projects, establishing a lively dialogue between artists from various disciplines and the local community.
Our call for applications is open for residency proposals for a minimum period of 3 weeks. Projects with relevance to the Portuguese context and the local community will be especially appreciated, but all creative projects are welcome.
We provide housing, studio space, as well as technical, artistic, and critical support. Study trips to artistic/cultural/industrial heritage sites, open studios, and local community events are a complement to our program and we will encourage resident artists to join.
