The Hopper Prize is a grant-making institution and exhibition platform offering a series of individual artist fellowships totaling $5,000.00  administered through an open call juried by leading curators. The prize was established for the sole purpose of advancing the field of visual art by providing direct financial assistance to artists working in all media. In addition to providing unrestricted cash awards to artists, The Hopper Prize seeks to create new relationships between artists, curators, writers, and collectors.

The Hopper Prize was established to provide cash grants to artists, connect artists with renowned curators, and digitally exhibit and archive artist's work for future audiences. Awardees are selected through an open call for proposals.  Winners will be chosen based on the quality of their work by guest jurors holding prominent curatorial positions at major institutions.
