Guidelines | Application

Nominee Notifications: July 31, 2017

MICA's Office of Research invites interested full-time faculty to submit preliminary proposals for internal review as nominees for the National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) Summer Stipends.

NEH Summer Stipends support individuals pursuing advanced research that is of value to humanities scholars, general audiences, or both. Summer Stipends support continuous full-time work on a humanities project for a period of two months during the summer of 2018. Successful applicants receive a stipend of $6,000.

Eligible projects usually result in articles, monographs, books, digital materials and publications, archaeological site reports, translations, editions, or other scholarly resources. Nominees are required to complete a NEH Summer Stipend application at grants.gov by September 27, 2017.

NOTE: Part-time faculty members are eligible to apply for NEH Summer Stipends independently and do not require institutional nomination.
