To conceptualize an artistic project almost always begins with signs, letters, codes that turn into a language, either visual or philosophic, to convey thoughts and insights of its creator in the pursuit of new concepts and images.
This call is for writers, poets, contemporary calligraphers, code writers, and cultural researchers working with artistic texts, letters, visual signs or abstract symbols. All artists participating the residency program are offered artist assistance by interns at halka, logistic and curatorial support by art managers at Halka. The residents have access to individual working areas within the residency with access to wi-fi, basic office supplies and printers for daily matters.
