Be a part of the Appalachian Forest Stewardship Residency in its pilot year. This short residency will allow for reflection time and action time as you help restore Ohio’s forests. The Appalachian Forest Art Residency is based on the idea that meaning is derived from that which we build with our hands.
Individuals or groups of 2-3 are encouraged to apply with projects that address concepts around the relationship between humans and nature. In exchange for 12-16 hours/week volunteer hours the artist receives lodging, time and space to develop new work at no cost. There are no studio spaces per se—artists working in all media are encouraged to apply but the residency is more suited for reflection/ideation time rather than making large objects.
