The Watering Hole : Foreverglades is a branch of the watering hole storyline focusing on the origins of the creatures that inhabit this world inspired by the animals living in the Florida everglades. In the Florida everglades the animals that live there have had to survive multiple new species that have invasively been brought into their habitat while already having to deal with the harsh environment around them. This fight for survival has forced them to evolve and use the land to their advantage in order to call this place home.

Alec Ferrer, born and raised in North Miami, Florida is a senior fiber major with a minor in experimental fashion. To him South Florida presents itself as a symbiotic relationship between the cultural melting pot of the Caribbean and natural wildlife. He shapes his perspective primarily through garments, playful accessories and digital collages. His childhood obsession with cartoons and collectables drive his creative design language adding playful undertones to his pieces. Currently his work focuses on a journey to The Watering Hole, a conceptual gas station that explores the dynamic of communal gathering around gas stations in Florida that parallel watering holes found in nature.

The show will be located on the 3rd floor of the Station building in the figure sculpting room, there will be signs showing where to go once inside the station building.

Show tickets to staff once upstairs to receive your seating.
