TRIADS: Performance Series—Curated by CP'20 Hannah Davis

The performance series for TRIADS: Arrangements in Site & Sound, curated by CP ‘20 student Hannah Davis, finished up Saturday, February 22, at NoMüNoMü featuring the last portion of Ledah Finck's original composition for the project. The previous two performances took place earlier this year; January 18 at Clifton Mansion featuring Pants Trio and February 2 at B.Willow featuring Bergamot Quartet. The project explores the relationships between performances of classical music, physical sites, and the communities surrounding them. Inspired by the embedded histories and acoustic languages of the three separate performance locations, different elements of Finck’s composition were performed at each of the sites over the course of three nights. While the piece was split up across space and time throughout the live performances, the piece will be reassembled through audio recordings, captured by Anastasia Kupstas, and visual documentation in an installation by Rachel Schmidt. The installation will be on display at In/29 (in progress) from April 22-May 8 with an Opening Reception on April 25 from 6-9pm.
