ARTIST STATEMENT:

With the context of quarantine, my underlying goal of this project was to transform an item that was already in my home to be redisplayed in a new way. I had the idea to explore recycling some of my empty spray paint cans, which take up a lot of space,  with a desire to create something visually delightful. These empty cans were cut and folded to reveal their colors in the form of flowers. Their original area of display was the dresser they already occupied, but as I was working, I found they appeared better in my windowsill, in natural light.
